How It All Began
Hi, I’m Malee Yang Vang, and I’m so glad you’re here. Malee’s Kitchen began with a simple love for cooking and sharing traditional Hmong recipes with my family and friends. It all started when I made papaya salads for myself and my loved ones. Before I knew it, more people started asking for my food, and I was invited to cater events. That’s when I realized this passion could become something bigger.
From Home Cooking to a Community Favorite
Over time, I noticed how much joy my food brought to others. With support from my community, I decided to open Malee’s Kitchen at 7064 East Belmont Avenue B in Fresno, California. Here, we focus on serving authentic Hmong street food made with love and care. Each dish, from our eggrolls to our pork belly with sticky rice, is prepared using recipes passed down through generations. These are the meals that I grew up with, and now I get to share them with you.
